Is a Peppol ID the same as a UEN?
No. A UEN is the underlying identifier for a Singapore entity. The Peppol ID is the network participant identity built using the Singapore convention. The provider onboarding the business registers that network identity and its supported document capabilities.

How to get a Peppol ID in Singapore

Choose or use an InvoiceNow-Ready Solution Provider or an accredited Access Point Provider that fits the system route.

Ask the IRSP and/or AP to register the business in the SG Peppol Directory using its UEN.

Enable and test the required InvoiceNow functions and document flows with that provider.
Provider status does not decide commercial fit. Use the InvoiceNow provider selection framework to compare the actual system, workflow and support requirements.
GST InvoiceNow
Do affected businesses need a Peppol ID for GST InvoiceNow?
IRAS includes obtaining a Peppol ID as part of the onboarding steps for affected businesses. It directs businesses to their IRSP and/or AP for registration in the SG Peppol Directory using the UEN. That does not mean every business has the same implementation date or that FinWaypoint can determine legal applicability.
